Today's AC power lines are plagued with ever increasing noise, and our older electrical infrastructure is highly prone to brown-outs and surges. When AC noise enters into your system's critical components it masks low level signals and cripples performance. This not only destroys the crucial harmonics and ambience in audio, and depth and clarity in video. But this dirty power can also shorten the life-span of your devices...Expand to Read More >
With our premium power products you can rest-assured that your products are as well protected from eletrical surges and audio interference as possible, ensuring peak operation of your critical components. No longer will your equipment's performance be at the mercy of your home's incoming AC power or inferior AC protection/filtering devices. Simply put, you will see and hear your theater or audio system as it should be — uncompromised.
Here are some helpful tips to consider when selecting power protection:
Joules - This is a measurement of force, the higher the Joules rating the more electrical force(surge) a device can stop before being compromised. Keep in mind that while no surge protector on the market can stop a direct hit, the higher the Joules rating the more likely you are to survive other surges.
Telecom Jacks - The most common path we see lighting strikes take is through the cable or sat lines entering into your home, these often go non surge-protected, yet these cables connect to everything (tv's, amps, internet) so now all of these items are at risk because this line is bypassing the surge protection.
Power Conditioning - This is a feature that helps clean dirty power, a surge protector with power conditioning built-in will allow your equipment to perform at its peak performance.
Voltage Regulation - Considered the best feature, it works to regulate the incoming voltage and insure that it stays in acceptable ranges. This is a great first line defense against sudden small spikes in power that are frequent and to low for the surge protection to detect, and not caught by the conditioner.
Battery Backup - This device is great for theater systems, especially projection based systems. It will allow time for your system to properly shut-down and cool off after a power outage. But its also a MUST for any home that has a automatic generator, this device allows equipment to safely keep running during the 'switch-over', which oftens damages sensitive equipment. While this device does include basic surge protection and voltage regulation, it's really considered a secondary device and should be used in conjunction with a quality power conditioner.
